Directions to the farm:
There are 2 options to get the farm from the N2  - tar road into town with a short distance of dirt road (best way if you want to stop in town for groceries) or majority dirt road.

Travelling from the direction of Cape Town on the N2, take the Stilbaai turnoff right – approximately 12km after Riversdal.

If you are coming from the direction of George, you will turn LEFT off the N2 at the Stilbaai turnoff before you get to Riversdal.

FOR MAJORITY DIRT ROAD:

*Not recommended if there has been lots of recent rain as water may be flowing over low water bridge (especially in a regular car)
At approximately 9km, turn right at the brown tourism info sign saying “Wild Olive”. Travel approximately 10km on this gravel road then turn left at the T-junction at the top of the hill after you have crossed the low water bridge.
The road then winds along above the river course for approximately 6Kms.  You will see the Long Thin Farm sign (GK34) on the left and right sides of the road.  Turn right up the driveway and take the LEFT or RIGHT splits - STONE COTTAGE will be ahead of you on the right and MILKWOOD COTTAGE directly in front of you (beyond the vineyard block.

FOR MAJORITY TAR ROAD:

Do not turn off at the "Wild Olive" sign, continue on and follow the tar road into Stilbaai.

Turn right at the bridge (across the river) and then turn immediately right into Waterblomrylaan.

You are going back in the direction you came but on other side of the river.

Carry along this road for 12kms to the farm.

The road changes from tar to brick to dirt during these 12 kms.
